Important European product quality award for MASCOT

Today the international workwear manufacturer MASCOT was presented with the 2006 award for Product Quality Leadership. The presentation took place at the A+A exhibition in Germany. The international research company Frost & Sullivan has appointed MASCOT the winner among 750 European workwear manufacturers. The award was last presented to a workwear company in 2001.

The choice of award recipient is based on several years’ research among the competitors, distributors and end users in the market, and the appointment is founded in a report of almost 400 pages that discloses the tendencies within workwear in Europe.

Surpassed European colleagues
Frost & Sullivan emphasises two things as being particularly decisive for choosing MASCOT. In part MASCOT’s visionary and innovative product development with the underlying test procedures, and in part the company’s many services towards distributors and end-users. According to Frost & Sullivan, MASCOT has displayed these qualities so convincingly that the Danish workwear manufacturer has surpassed all significant colleagues in the industry.

Thursday September 28th, Paula Connor presented the award for Product Quality Leadership in the workwear market to Managing Director Michael Grosbøl. The research company Frost & Sullivan was behind the award and appointed MASCOT among 750 manufacturers.

Michael Grosbøl received the award in Germany
The presentation of the product quality award took place at the large workwear exhibition of the year A + A in Karlsruhe, Germany, where Managing Director of MASCOT, Michael Grosbøl received the award from Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst, Paula Connor. Paula Connor expressed the following about MASCOT:
»Frost and Sullivan is delighted to present MASCOT with the Product Quality Leadership Award in the field of workwear. Its constant commitment to meeting the needs of its customers is exceptional. MASCOT clothing does not compromise; the material, the design and the service offered are consistently above industry standards. The MASCOT slogan “TESTED TO WORK” could not be more appropriate; MASCOT is unique within the world of workwear due to its rigorous testing procedures and its unwavering focus on the end user«.

Setting the standards in the future as well
Michael Grosbøl is really pleased that MASCOT has received the award based on thorough testing and innovative product development in particular. »Our work has been based on a strategy with the focal point that only the best is good enough. We want to constantly explore the market to optimise raw materials and discover new trends, and our co-operation with the wearers from many different trades has provided valuable input for the development process «, he argues and continues: »The award doesn’t mean that we will slow down. On the contrary. Now we truly see the fruit of our hard work, and it is apparent that it is worth it and that we should carry on in the same direction. We want to continue to be the workwear manufacturer that doesn’t merely follows standards, but that sets them«.

»TESTED TO WORK« is decisive
In recent years, TESTED TO WORK has been MASCOT’s slogan as well as strategy, and the constant focus to be and remain TESTED TO WORK in all aspects has proved to be the right strategy in a market with many players. It is evident from the summary of the report that the test methods have been decisive to Frost & Sullivan’s choice of recipient: »MASCOT’s product testing is the most rigorous within the workwear industry. MASCOT stands out from the crowd as the company, which makes the most durable workwear. Although MASCOT products are high end, the company gives their value for money by increasing the garment lifetime; MASCOT products are made to last«.
